Tablecloth – Fresh CSS Table Framework

AJAX and Javascript tables are useful techniques for displaying information in a tabular data using sorting or filtering functions. Tablecloth is lightweight and unobtrusive framework to add fresh and modern CSS style and behavior to your HTML table elements. It’s very easy to use and no need for hardcoded class names. Tablecloth features:

  • Adding even/odd class names to alternative rows;
  • Adding over and out class names for mouse over and mouse out states;
  • Supporting highlight rows or columns (or both);
  • Adding selected state on click or unselect elements by clicking anywhere on the page;
  • It has easily editable function and upgrade.

    It seems to me that tables are exactly the type of thing that require a special framework, and separate from your regular layout CSS framework. I commend the effort here!
    It seems like it went sort of unappreciated.
    The other obvious pick in this area would be:

    Use the little arrows to navigate throught the 15 panels of the tutorial. the first half of the tut implements the zebra stirping.
    The second half adds the hover code. The link above has the link directly to the demo to skip the walk-through.
